I had not seen David since High School so was delighted to reconnect with him again on the Niagara Falls History & Trivia FB Site. I enjoyed each chapter of his book that he so kindly shared with us and they brought back so many memories of my childhood to me in the Falls. I pray an illustrator will be found and his book published soon RIP David knowing that you had a life well lived. You are sorely missed. Linda (nee Read) Fagan

I was so sad to hear about David's passing. He has been a friend for over 40 years. I had talked to him less than a month ago about plans for Sunshine Festival productions for 2018. I knew he has had health problems for years but somehow David seemed indestructible. I will very much miss working with him and our numerous phone conversations on just about any subject you could imagine.
My very deepest sympathies to you on your loss.
Please let me know if a memorial is planned for a later date.
In sympathy
David Smith

Cousin David: Memories of family times spent together, at 6th Avenue, St. Peter Street and on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay. Our careers took us in different directions, different pursuits, and the vagaries of life caused us to lose that personal contact that our parents so enjoyed living in the same city. You followed your heart in the life of the theater and many are richer for your contributions to the art. While the road of life can be fraught with divergent paths, I know that life is eternal and you shall live on in our hearts until we meet once again.

Dear Nina and Joan, we were saddened to read of David's passing. So many memories flooded back.....NFCVI, Ted McQuade, high school musicals. We were able to keep up with what David was doing via facebook. He was an inspiration to so many and always fostered the love of the theatre.
