Obituary of Joan McArthur

McArthur, Joan Passed away at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Saturday, December 27th, 2014 in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her parents Jean (nee Loukes) and William Burtch. Beloved wife of the late Ernest McArthur. Joan is survived by her partner Francis Sova. Loving mother of Debbie Allison (Ken), and Robert (Joanne). Dear grandmother of Tyler, Kelsey, and Janessa. Sister of Helen, Wayne, William; predeceased by her sisters Dolores, Florine, Carole, Donna and by her brother Beverley. Joan will be fondly remembered by many family and friends. Joan's family wish to extend a special thank you to the staff at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital in the Emergency, Soldiers 1, and ICU especially Lydia and Jacqueline for their compassionate care. Also a sincere thank you to Dr. Peter Deimling and staff for their constant and dedicated care over the years. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Joan's life will take place at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E Orillia on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
